The Alex Pinter Quintet was founded in Boston/MA in 2010 and comprises some of the most talented players that studied at Berklee College of Music at that time. Bandleader Alex Pinter joined forces with Stephan Dickbauer (AUT)-sax/clarinet, Dimitrije Vasiljevic (SRB)-piano, Nick Merriam (USA)-bass, Michael Kihn (GER)-drums, and special guest Eyal Shmuel Hai (ISR)-alto sax. While Alex wrote all the music for the band, he could rely on his players on creating a contemporary, non-selfish environment to let the music breathe, while putting intensity on the spots that called for it....

The Alex Pinter Quintet was founded in Boston/MA in 2010 and comprises some of the most talented players that studied at Berklee College of Music at that time. The Quintet recorded it's debut album "The Beantown Experience" in 2010 in Massachussetts, and first profound listeners have been very excited about it.

As Alex moved back to Vienna, it was necessary to put together a new band, since most of the players are currently still living in New York and Boston. The european version of the quintet has a lot of talent on its roster, consisting of Hans-Koller-Prize winners Gina Schwarz-bass and special guest Viola Falb-alto sax/bass clarinet, along with multiple international awarded musicians and scholarship recipients Klemens Marktl-drums, Dimitrije Vasiljevic-piano, Stephan Dickbauer-tenor sax/clarinet, and of course Alex on nylonstring and electric guitars.
