Arkansas Jazz Experience with Gary Meggs at Quapaw Baths and Spa

From April through August, from 6 pm until 8 pm on the fourth Friday of each month, the Hot Springs Jazz Society presents "Arkansas Jazz Experience" in the beautifully renovated Quapaw Baths and Spa on historic Bathhouse Row in downtown Hot Springs. Each month a special guest artist appears with the distinguished "Arkansas Jazz Experience" combo, which features emcee Shirley Chauvin on vocals, Clyde Pound on keys, David Higginbotham on upright bass, and Jay Payette on drums. The special guest (playing alto sax) on 22 August is Gary Meggs, Director of Jazz Studies for the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Cost of admission (which includes light refreshments) is $15, discounted to $10 for Hot Springs Jazz Society members and waived for new members paying annual dues at the door.
