Arnold Ludvig Quintet (fo/dk/fr/tg) at Blábar

Arnold Ludvig is an international award-winning bass virtuoso from the Faroe Islands. He wrote his thesis on “The Fragility of Faroese Jazz” in the spring of 2019 and graduated with an MA.MUS degree from the Iceland University of the Arts in Reykjavík in June 2019. He also studied Jazz Performance at McGill University in Montreal, Canada and received a scholarship at FÍH in Iceland.

In 2016, Arnold released his second jazz album “ICELAND” with the Arnold Ludvig Sextet to several great reviews from GAFFA (DK) and JazzSpecial (DK), for which he received two nominations at the FMA Music Awards 2017, for SOLOIST OF THE YEAR: Arnold Ludvig and BAND OF THE YEAR: Arnold Ludvig Sextet. The sextet has toured the Faroe Islands, Greenland and Denmark. For tonight’s concert they will perform as a quintet.
