The Cuban natives decade-spanning career has earned him ten Grammy Awards, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and countless other accolades for his musicianship and humanitarian efforts. Sandoval was a protege of jazz trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie and is also recognized as a renowned classical artist, pianist and composer.
