Back to Bacharach and Beyond by Christine and Elliot Spero is a show that will lovingly take you on a journey through Burt Bacharach’s greatest songs with some surprises. Bacharach, who is considered one of the most important composers of 20th-century popular music, has composed hundreds of pop songs from the late 1950s through the 1980s, mostly in collaboration with lyricist Hal David.

A six-time Grammy Award winner and three-time Academy Award winner, Bacharach's songs have been recorded by more than 1,000 different artists. He has written 73 US and 52 UK Top 40 hits. Singer and keyboardist Christine Spero and percussionist and saxophonist Elliot Spero (a brother-in-law and sister-in-law duo) together cover a wide variety of musical genres and styles. Audience members may remember them from a Laura Nyro tribute show they performed at the library in 2017.
