However, it is been five years since we last presented the pianist. We thought it was time for a reprise visit. Green, at one-time Oscar Petersons hand-picked protege, has long-since evolved and become one of the worlds finest, most lyrical and well respected pianists. While Green performs with ensembles of all sizes, there is no question that one of his strongest suits is when he leads a trio, which is what he will do this time around although with a twist. On this occasion, Greens trio is audaciously augmented by vocalist Veronica Swift, a rising star in her mid-20s whose jazz travels are still far closer to the front end than they will undoubtedly be down the line. V Bop, as Green calls her, is an epic leader if he has ever met one.
