Big Band & Classic Jazz both entertain and educate in exploring the roots of America's jazz heritage, from syncopated society music, ragtime and the blues, to the dawn of the jazz age, and on to the swing era... from territory bands of relative obscurity to the nationally-known stars blazing nightly across national "wires" when radio was King. Take a journey back in time, from the flappers and raccoon coats of the roaring twenties to the jitterbuggers of WWII, and the powerhouse bands that were heard coast to coast, border to border.
