Bruce Dudley Live at the Workshop at Nashville Jazz Workshop

On Friday, September 13 at 8pm, pianist Bruce Dudley returns to the Jazz Cave. For this concert Bruce will lead a quintet with Don Aliquo (saxophone), Roland Barber (trombone), Marcus Finnie (drums), and Jonathan Wires (bass).

Bruce Dudley is one of the city's most elegant and accomplished pianists and educators. He studied at the New England Conservatory of Music, Manhattan School of Music, and Eastman School of Music. He received a doctorate in Jazz Studies from the University of Colorado, and is on the faculty of Belmont University, MTSU, and the Nashville Jazz Workshop. An outstanding composer and arranger, his 1998 CD Semblance was nominated for Best Jazz Album of the Year in Nashville Music Awards. The performance begins at 8:00 pm in the Jazz Cave at the Workshop. Tickets go on sale Monday, September 2 at 10am, and are $25 ($15 for high school and college students). Policies: The Jazz Cave is a BYOB establishment, with no alcohol or food service. You are free to bring alcoholic beverages and snacks. We sell soft drinks and bottled water. The Jazz Cave is a listening room, and we ask patrons to keep conversation to a minimum and silence cell phones. Audio and video recording is prohibited. Ticket sales are final.

The Nashville Jazz Workshop is a nonprofit organization offering classes for all ages, instruments, and levels, public performances, and special events for the community.
