The group was founded by Carles Bech, native from The Empord, to play his own compositions and arrangements. Black Cat Jazz is a trio interested in live concerts to make the jazz closer to public. His lemas "Less is more" and "smalls thing run" try to drive the jazz music al around the country with the doublebassist David Bays and Marc Bodalo in the drums, with a sound vital, energic, elegant with many swing and bebop improvisation, samba hapiness, bolero tenderness and fresh bossanova, sophisticated, nightly poetry, new orleans taste with blues.
