Concert de Léo Merie Quartet suivi de la projection du film d’archives, Monk est Grand – Rewind & Play « it’s not nice ? » – (2022/Fr, All/ 65’) – en présence du réalisateur Alain Gomis.Une soirée pour se plonger avec un grand plaisir dans une des œuvres les plus par marquantes de l’histoire du Jazz. Au travers l’interprétation passionnée de sa musique par le quartet rassemblé autour de Léo Mérie, ce sont  l’inventivité et le swing, de ses compositions reconnaissables entre toutes qui nous saisissent. Et puis le musicien apparait. Dans la pépite audiovisuelle de Alain Gomis, où le réalisateur sénégalais trace un portrait magnifique du pianiste légendaire à partir de moments off captés lors d’une de ses venues en France.
