GUILLAUME PERRET IN SPACE WITH THOMAS PESQUET, PARIS PREMIERE!During his journey to space, astronaut Thomas Pesquet took his saxophone with him to play against the backdrop of one of the daily "16 sunrises" visible from the dome of the ISS.This moment inspired the title of the 2018 feature film chronicling Pesquet’s odyssey, with a soundtrack composed by the multi-talented saxophonist Guillaume Perret.The film presents the astronaut in a dialogue with the writings of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, whose words accompanied him on his cosmic voyage.This extraordinary adventure shaped Perret’s Elevation—an atmospheric musical journey that effortlessly floats into our ears. In 2022, this project evolved into a film screening with live performance: 90 minutes of spiritual jazz trance, where electronic music, groove, urban pulses, and oriental textures merge.Perret’s music illustrates the space odyssey of Thomas Pesquet through weightless soundscapes, now brought to life as a quartet.For the first time, the festival will take over the main hall of L'Arlequin cinema to present the Paris premiere of this incredible film & music experience! GUILLAUME PERRET DANS L’ESPACE AVEC THOMAS PESQUET !Ciné-concertLors de son voyage dans l’espace, Thomas Pesquet a emporté son saxophone pour jouer face à l’un des « 16 levers de soleil » quotidiens visibles depuis la coupole de l’ISS. C’est le titre donné en 2018 au long-métrage qui retrace l’odyssée du spationaute et la bande originale a été composée par le saxophoniste touche-à-tout Guillaume Perret.On y voit l’astronaute dialoguer avec l’œuvre d’Antoine de Saint-Exupéry dont les écrits l’ont suivi jusque dans l’espace. Une aventure extraordinaire qui a donné une ligne cosmique à son opus « Elévation » : une musique aux climats aériens, propices à l’élévation et qui ne cède rien à l’énergie.En 2022 le projet évolue ; le long-métrage est adapté en version ciné-concert : 90 minutes de transe jazz spirituelle venue d'ailleurs où se croisent les musiques électroniques, le groove, les pulsations urbaines ou les textures orientales.
