Ben Rando | Creatures Ben Rando explores a new facet of his musical universe. After an album written for six musicians, he chose to put the piano back at the center of the frame. Inspired as much by the minimalist music of John Cage, the cinematic pop of Radiohead, or the sonatas of Scarlatti, Ben Rando's piano is poetic or percussive, sometimes mutating towards lyrical flights and giving way to surprising improvisations with rich and with captivating rhythms. Laura Perrudin | TEMPUS TEMPUS is a string solo with variable geometry. Vocal cords, plucked, struck cords: we concentrate on the vibration and the breath that carries each phrase. We play with the tempo freed from any external constraints, we re-synchronize it with the – moving – of our breathing. We listen to the place we live in at that moment, and we dialogue with it. TEMPUS is the desire to focus on the intimacy of the songs in their most acoustic and refined version. To the most archaic musical gesture: that of the vibration of a string... Laura Perrudin's songs all have several faces and multiple lives and inspirations; Impressionist neo-soul, minimalist folk-jazz, metaphysical noise-blues... Ben Rando | CréaturesBen Rando explore une nouvelle facette de son univers musical. Après un album écrit pour six musiciens, il choisit de remettre le piano au centre du cadre. Inspiré aussi bien par la musique minimaliste de John Cage, la pop cinématographique de Radiohead, ou les sonates de Scarlatti, le piano de Ben Rando est poétique ou percussif, mutant parfois vers des envolées lyriques et laissant place à des improvisations surprenantes aux harmonies riches et aux rythmes captivants. Laura Perrudin | TEMPUS TEMPUS est un solo à cordes à géométrie variable. Cordes vocales, cordes pincées, frappées : on s'y concentre sur la vibration et sur le souffle qui portent chaque phrase. On y joue avec le tempo libéré de toute contrainte extérieure, on le re-synchronise avec celui – mouvant - de nos respirations. On y écoute le lieu que l'on habite à ce moment-là, et on dialogue avec lui. TEMPUS est l'envie de se concentrer sur l'intimité des chansons dans leur version la plus acoustique et épurée. Au geste musical le plus archaïque : celui de la mise en vibration d'une corde... Les chansons de Laura Perrudin ont toutes plusieurs visages et de multiples vies et inspirations; Neo-soul impressionniste, folk-jazz minimaliste, noise-blues métaphysique... Une création qui naîtra au Petit Duc.
