Cuban night with Eliel Lazo at Tranquebar

One of Cubas greatest talents, Eliel Lazo, has settled in Denmark.

He has released four albums, received three DMA Awards and two Cuban Grammy Nominations.

At the Danish Music Awards his album "Eliel Lazo el Conguero" was voted the best World CD in the year 2011. Eliel came to Denmark 12 years ago to play with DR Big Band and has been here ever since.

It's no coincidence that he got the nickname "God's Hands" in Cuba.

On the Danish scene he has played concerts with DR Big Band, Savage Rose, Mikkel Nordsø Band, Hanne Boel, Sp Just and Frost, The Antonelli Orchestra and on the Foreign Scene, Michel Camilo, Baaba Maal, Oscar Valdes, Chucho Valdes, BBC Big Band, WDR Big Band and not least Herbie Hancock, Dianne Reeves and Wayne Shorter - the last three at one time....
