3pm – 5pm. Admission: $15; 928-282-7366. Tenor saxophonist Dexter Gordon - called “Long Tall Dexter” and “Sophisticated Giant” by his friends - is the musical subject of Sunday’s concert. Given the nicknames because of his 6 feet 6 inch height and his large and spacious sound, the concert honoring Gordon will showcase both his music and persona through the exceptional artistry of saxophonist Jerry Donato, who will be backed up by a stellar group of excellent musicians - pianist Armand Boatman, double bassist Dwight Kilian and percussionist Dan Tomlinson.
