Clarinet and bass duet - offering a thoughtful sonic interpretation of a primarily Brazilian repertoire. Dexter Payne's clarinet is most often heard in larger groupings, playing Brazilian with his own quintet, blues with Lionel Young or Johnny Long, or Balkan music with Azra. Kent McLagan is best known to jazz lovers for his inimitable acoustic bass work with Ron Miles, Andy Biskin, Michael Vlatcovich and others.
