DYNAMIC was founded by Paul Kim when he moved to Copenhagen from San Francisco. The group assembles seven active jazz pros from all around Copenhagen, each with their own voice and independent projects. The resulting combination of talents

The repertoire is progressive jazz, cool arrangements in close harmony with a funky San Francisco twist. Some people get associations to Manhattan Transfer but DYNAMIC has developed their own unique style and sound, playing with different combinations of instruments and voices, acappella sound, vocal blends and solo singing. DYNAMIC plays in many venues, clubs and festivals, including the Copenhagen Jazz Festival each year, and is in the process of recording their debut album.



DYNAMIC blev grundlagt af sanger og arrangør Paul Kim, da han flyttede til København fra San Francisco. Bandet består af syv aktive jazzmusikere, der klæder hinanden godt. Alle har de deres egen stemme og er involveret i flere musikalske projekter. Resultatet er en kombination af talenter der spænder over genrer og epoker i en spændende syntese.



Repertoiret er progressiv jazz, lækre arrangementer i close harmony, med et funky San Francisco twist. Sammenligningen med Manhattan Transfer ligger lige for, men DYNAMIC har udviklet sin egen stil og sound der gør brug af forskellige kombinationer af instrumenter og stemmer, a cappella sang, kor og solo sang. DYNAMICs nuværende repertoire er bygget op omkring Giants of Jazz. Originale vokalarrangementer af melodier af bl.a. Miles Davis, Monk, Coltrane, Herbie Hancock, Dizzy Gillespie og Billy Strayhorn. Bandet optræder desuden med original musik skrevet af egne medlemmer.


DYNAMIC spiller i klubber og på festivaler, og er at finde på Copenhagen Jazz Festival hvert år. I øjeblikket arbejdes intenst på et debutalbum, der forventes ude til foråret 2019.
