FEM is no stranger to the Melbourne Jazz scene, having made waves since her return from London. Her early years were in South Africa, with a highly esteemed jazz-pianist father, Howard, who was a leader in overcoming apartheid rules, to allow black and white musicians to perform together. Her teenage years were in Australia, before a long sojourn performing abroad, and being a favourite soloist on international cruise lines. With her captivating voice, remarkable stage presence, and violin prowess, Fem infuses jazz standards with her own creative flair. JIM is a longtime collaborator with bandleader John Montesante, yes decades, appearing in his quintet, JMQ Jazz Ensemble, the former Cafe Society Orchestra and the Grand WaZoo. He also performs internationally. A standout in Melbourne's jazz and big band circles,Jim's rich alto sax tones and technical mastery have made him a sought-after musician across multiple prestigious ensembles.
Rounding out the all-star lineup are Melbourne's jazz heavyweights: Nick Haywood (bass), Ollie Shute (drums), Michael Harding (piano), and John Montesante (trumpet and bandleader).
