Strickland.Son talent s’exprime notamment dans une version intimiste des standards du Great American Songbook, privilégiant l’écoute, le son et la mélodie, un peu à l’image du trio de Chet Baker dans les années 70.Le batteur, compositeur et producteur BENJAMIN SANZ a travaillé avec des maîtres de musique avant de fonder son propre groupe. Il a également servi ou est à l’origine de nombreux projets influencés par les courants de la musique noire américaine et africaine, comme le groupe Benkadi avec Hervé Samb, le large ensemble de musique free afro-cubaine, Los Pistoleros Del Infinito, ou le quartet Divine Pocket Bouncers.En tant que sideman, il a joué internationalement avec David Murray, Archie Shepp, Oliver Lake, Sabir Mateen, Joëlle Léandre, Mike Ladd, Napoleon Maddox et Iswhat, Roy Campbell, Bobby Few, Lobi Traore, Abdoulaye Traore, pour n’en nommer que quelques-uns.
