Raised in Ottawa and now residing in Montreal, Fraser Hollins has been praised as "one of Canada's great bassists" (Don Thompson). Noted for his versatility, Hollins has been performing for almost thirty years as a leader and sideman with some of jazz’s brightest lights. This year he leads a quartet of heavyweight individual talents, including 2013 Juno winning saxophonist Joel Miller, ace pianist Jon Cowherd (Joni Mitchell, Norah Jones) and renowned drummer Brian Blade, best known for his recordings with Bob Dylan and his own Fellowship Band.
