Guitarist Freddie Bryant received a Master’s degree in classical guitar from the Yale School of Music and is in demand in the New York jazz and Brazilian scenes, where he has worked with Eliane Elias, Tom Harrell, Max Roach and many others. He was a member of Ben Riley’s Monk Legacy Septet and the Mingus Orchestra and leads his own groups, Kaleidoscope, and the Brazilian Trio. He has toured 55 countries and collaborated with musicians from a variety of backgrounds, including Indian classical musicians, African singers, oud players, traditional Arab groups and klezmer bands. Itaiguara Mariano Brandão is a New York City-based recording artist and bassist. A native of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Brandão has toured internationally and recorded extensively with a wide range of Latin and World Music artists such as: Dianne Reeves, Ivan Lins, Randy Brecker, Paquito D'Rivera, Robin Eubanks, among man, many others. He has recorded on major labels such as Sony BMG as well as on numerous independent labels. Brandão has been one of the most sought-after Brazilian bassists in the Northeast and freelance musicians in the United States, having completed nearly 6,500 performances in the past 25 years.

Portinho (António Pôrto Filho - Portinho) Brazilian drummer and percussion player was born in Brazil in a town called Rio Grande/RS. He moved to the States in the early 1970s. Since arriving in the United States, Portinho has worked with Latin Jazz royalty including Paquito D’Rivera, Astrud Gilberto, Tania Maria, Airto Moreira, Gato Barbieri, Michel Camilo, Clausio Roditi, Dom Salvador and many others. He has also performed with American legends Harry Belafonte, Nancy Wilson and Ron Carter.
