Greg will not be part of the reduced orchestra for the piano concerto, but he will be standing in with the group for some great playing on the Sibelius and the Mendelssohn. When asked about "standing" while he plays Greg said, "Besides the advantage of increased mobility to get around the instrument, it's mainly because it is just that important to me. A long time ago I reached the point that I could no longer contain my enthusiasm for playing the bass. I had to stand while doing it, the same way a violinist performing a concerto would."
