Since debuting this new interpretation of The Planets to two sold-out shows at the New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA) for its 2022-2023 season, Lands has further expanded this project into additional suites and inspired sub-combinations of players such as the Draconid Suite and CosmiKrewe, cementing Rearranging the Planets as perhaps the citys most expansive and prolific fusion project today, currently now under consideration for philharmonic orchestral commission, and Join us tonight for the only opportunity to experience the complete Rearranging the Planets composition with full band during the 2024 New Orleans Jazz Fest week, inside the intimate, historic Dew Drop Inn, where the legacy of Black American Music innovation continues.
