About
An annual celebration of jazz in Des Moines with this year's honors going to saxophonist Don Jaques, educator and pianist Robert Washut and saxophonist Rufus Spates (deceased). Music will be provided by the CJC Youth Combo, CJC Big Band and local players such as Sam Salomone, Steve Grismore, John Kizilarmut and others.
The event begins at 5 PM with the youth combo in the lounge.
A reception is scheduled for 6 PM and the program begins at 7 pm.
