Harmolodic Monk is the duet of Matt Lavelle (alto clarinet, trumpet) and John Pietaro (vibes). With a repertoire made up entirely of Thelonious Monk compositions voiced through the philosophy and techniques of Ornette Coleman, this new ensemble conjoins the forward-looking geniuses of different eras of modern jazz.
