Harmónia Jazz Workshop: The Big Band Story By The Budapest Jazz Orchestra at Budapest Jazz Club

This is going to be a musical tribute to the giants of 20th century big band jazz, like Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Thad Jones, Gil Evans, Rob McConnell and Clare Fischer – with a selection compiled by the eminent jazz historian, Károly Friedrich.

The 17-piece Budapest Jazz Orchestra was formed in 1998. Since then, it has become the most popular big band in the country. It performs world-class contemporary swing and, in fact, is brilliant in all styles of jazz. The band has won several critics’ and audience polls and presents some of the best Hungarian soloists.
