HSJS Membership Meeting and Birthday Party at St. Luke's Episcopal Church

The Hot Springs Jazz Society Membership Meeting and Birthday Party will be held in the Parish Hall at St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Entertainment (danceable standards from the 1940s-1970s) will be provided by The Village Big Band (vocalists David Major and Maureen Morgan backed by standard big-band instrumentation including 5 saxes, 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, and 4 rhythm instruments).

This annual event, which includes complimentary snacks and a cash bar (beer, wine), is open to the public and free to HSJS members. Members may bring guests for $25 each, but an annual membership (which includes admission to the event) is available at the door for just $35. ...

The Hot Springs Jazz Society is a 501c3 non-profit organization founded in January 1992 to perpetuate, preserve, and promote jazz. Its activities in 2013 included the 22nd Annual Hot Springs JazzFest, a week of music education seminars, lectures, workshops, and jazz concerts (all public, some free) at various venues in Hot Springs. Fundraising helps support HSJS scholarships which send qualified music students to the summer jazz camp at the University of Arkansas in Monticello.
