Now, HSK is celebrating its milestone in grand style. The anniversary concert at the Hämeenlinna Theatre will feature not just one but two renowned big bands, both well known from Hämeenlinna's squares, parks, and concert halls: Vanaja Big Band and Hämeenlinna Big Band. Hämeenlinnan Soitannollinen Kerho (HSK) täyttää tänä vuonna 80 vuotta. HSK on Suomen vanhin rytmimusiikkiin keskittyvä yhdistys ja on toiminut jo vuosikymmeniä Hämeenlinnan jazzelämän veturina. Suuri yleisö tuntee parhaiten yhdistyksen järjestämän Linnajazz-festivaalin ja Linnajazz-klubin konsertit.
Nyt HSK juhlistaa pyöreitä vuosia komeasti. Hämeenlinnan teatterin juhlakonsertissa lavalle astuu kokonaista kaksi suosittua isoa orkesteria, jotka tunnetaan Hämeenlinnan toreilta, puistoista ja konserttisaleista: Vanaja Big Band ja Hämeenlinna Big Band. Luvassa on melkoisesti svengiä ja muhkeaa soundia. Ohjelmistossa muun muassa klassikkokappaleita HSK:n menneiltä vuosikymmeniltä ja molempien orkesterien parhaita paloja. Tulossa myös yllätysesiintyjiä, joten luvassa on hämeenlinnalaista rytmimusiikkiviihdettä koko rahan edestä!
