Brazil's top jazz singer, Ithamara Koorax, does a rare Rio de Janeiro appearance this next Sunday, June 2nd, at the I Love Prio Blues And Jazz Festival. Backed by her acclaimed quartet, featuring Paula Faour (keyboards), Jorge Pescara (bass), Cesar Machado (drums) and Joseval Paes (guitar), Koorax will perform songs by Miles Davis, Bill Evans, Antonio Carlos Jobim and Luiz Bonfá. She will also present her new single: a stunning jazzy version for Eugene McDaniels' "Feel Like Making Love," made famous by Roberta Flack exactly 50 years ago. Concert directed by Arnaldo DeSouteiro.
