Amongst a long list of award winning and attractive names of artists, three remarkable Jazz divas to perform during the main nights of the Skywards Dubai International jazz Festival on February 16th, 17th and 18th at Dubai Media City Outdoor Amphitheater.

To start with, on the opening night of the main concerts of the festival, Mica Paris will perform on February 16th, 2011. The audience will enjoy her power, and sheer soulfulness of her singing that made a major impact on the UK music scene. After twenty- two years in the business, and 6 albums under her belt, the UK's Soul Queen Mica Paris is back to her first passion and musical roots with her new “Born Again” receiving high critics acclaim and assuring her well-earned identity as a multitalented DIVA. Mica’s show will prelude the legendary Alson Moyet show and the Jools Holland Rhythm and Blues Orchestra feauting Gilson Lavis and Guest vocalists Ruby Turnet and Louise Marshall....

Saxophonist Mindi Abair will introduce the night headlined by the alternative band Lifehouse and Grammy award winner Macy Gray and on February 17th, 2011. Mindi has scored more than a decade of performing, songwriting and recording, and she has taken a step back from the more polished sensibilities of contemporary jazz and embraced the sounds of past decades – specifically the ‘60s and early ‘70s, a period widely regarded as the golden age of R&B, soul and funk.

Jazz fans are to indulge with the sizzling mix of hot beats with the sensational Jessy J and her Latin and samba rhythms that instantly captivate melodies and model looks. This Mexican American saxophonist/singer proved quite her remarkable musical skills with her debut CD Tequila Moon, earning her such accolades as Radio and Records “Debut Artist of The Year” and contemporary jazz song of the year by R&R and Billboard for the title track. Jessy J will start up the night of February 18th, 2011,followed by Joshua Radin’s show and the closing act by the headlining band TRAIN.
