You are invited on a musical journey that spans over fifty years of jazz music. We begin in the birthplace of jazz, New Orleans with the genius who created it all, Louis Armstrong. From there we will hear the music of Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Lester Young, Coleman Hawkins, Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonius Monk, Miles Davis and John Coltrane. A free-wheeling excursion from traditional New Orleans jazz to swing to bebop and beyond!
