Dorianne Denard was born and raised in the Cleveland area, but has lived in Akron for many years. She started singing in church at the age of four. By her teenage years, she was singing at special occasions such as weddings, social gatherings, and celebrations of the departed. She was most recently a member of Sausalito Jazz Trio which performed at many venues throughout Northeast Ohio. Her musical inspirations include BB King, Anita Baker, Bonnie Raitt, and Cassandra Wilson.
