This unique event is presented by the critically acclaimed Oxford American literary magazine (oxfordamerican.org) in partnership with the Clinton School of Public Service and the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center (mosaictemplarscenter.com), a Department of Arkansas Heritage museum located on Little Rock's historic West Ninth Street (a jazz mecca in its heyday). Doors open at 5 p.m. The event (with seating on a "first-come, first-served" basis) begins at 6 p.m. with a symposium (free, open to the public) moderated by Little Rock pianist and educator Chris Parker; featured panelists are Amina Claudine Myers (2010 Arkansas Jazz Hall of Fame inductee profiled at aminaclaudinemyers.com and under "Hall of Fame" at arjazz.org), John Cain (founding member and longtime program director for Little Rock's community radio station KABF-88.3FM, kabf.org), and Nathan Hood (distinguished saxophonist)...
