This month Cape May Jazz Vespers welcomes back the Howard Isaacson Quintet. Howard’s group is a master of contemporary, smooth jazz. Howard has performed with Natalie Cole, Peter Cetera, The Temptations, The 4 Tops, IL Divo, Tony Bennett, Manhattan Transfer and Aretha Franklin just to name a few. His CD’s are heard all over the world on the contemporary jazz stations. The Press of Atlantic City says, “Isaacson’s playing is a sensual experience with the notes flowing together with a smoothness that is deceptively easy to listen to…” A native of Philadelphia, Howard earned a Master’s Degree in Woodwind Performance and Education from Temple University. The quintet includes some of the area’s finest musicians: Greg Pordon on keys, Andy Lalasis on bass, Don Shough on guitar and Harry Himles on drums.
