The whole project is about a clash between tradition and modernity. It has an ironic/humorous touch, but the music is definitely sincere!
The trio met in Paris in the spring of 2023 and quickly found a shared musical language through improvisation during a concert at the Cité Des Arts auditorium in the heart of Paris. The duo Rissanen - Kamperman decided to record the music for an album, which will be released by Eclipse Music in the spring of 2025.
In this project, together with singer Selma Savolainen, we reinterpret the Ten Commandments of the Bible in our own versions, critically reflecting on contemporary society. The music moves between composition and improvisation and does not shy away from humour at times. After all, how else could one respond to the state of the world today?...

Trio tapasi toisensa Pariisissa keväällä 2023 ja löysivät yhteisen sävelen helposti improvisoimalla konsertin Cité Des Artsin auditoriossa Pariisin ytimessä. Duo Rissanen - Kamperman päätti levyttää musiikkia äänitteelle, jonka julkaisee Eclipse Music keväällä 2025. Projektissa tulkitsemme yhdessä laulaja Selma Savolaisen kanssa raamatun kymmenen käskyä omina versioinamme nykypäivän yhteiskuntaa kriittisesti peilaten. Musiikki risteilee sävelletyn ja improvisoidun välillä ja ei häpeile olevan paikka paikoin humoristista. Kuinka muuten tähän maailman menoon voisikaan suhtautua?
