The Helsinki-based jazz trio Kinnunen-Ishiyama-Koskelainen, formed in the fall of 2023, consists of three young yet experienced jazz musicians who have previously played together in various ensembles and are now stepping forward as their own band. These friends speak the common language of jazz through their instruments, and their collective playing is characterized by a wealth of expressiveness, improvisation, and joy!
The band's music draws influences from everything from old Bebop to modern free jazz, respecting the tradition of jazz music while also creating something new. Syksyllä 2023 perustettu helsinkiläinen jazz-trio Kinnunen-Ishiyama-Koskelainen koostuu kolmesta nuoresta mutta kokeneesta jazzmuusikosta, jotka ovat aiemmin soittaneet yhdessä eri kokoonpanoissa ja nyt astuvat esiin omana bändinään. Nämä ystävät puhuvat yhteistä jazzin kieltä instrumenttiensa kautta, ja heidän yhteissoittonsa sisältääkin runsaasti ilmaisuvoimaa, improvisaatiota ja iloa!
Yhtyeen soitto ottaa vaikutteita aina vanhasta Bebopista moderniin free jazziin asti, kunnioittaen jazzmusiikin perinnettä sekä luoden uutta. Ohjelmisto koostuu yhtyeen sovittamista jazzstandardeista, sekä yhtyeen jäsenten alkuperäisistä sävellyksistä, ja pitää sisällää latin jazzrytmejä, bebopia, balladeja, funkia sekä vapaata improvisaatiota. Luvassa on siis monipuolinen ja energinen jazzshow, johon tämä trio toivottaa kaikki tervetulleiksi!
