Jeff Hamilton, a reliable and versatile drummer for over 40 years, sounds equally at home with a big band, combo or trio. He was with the Tommy Dorsey ghost band, played with Lionel Hampton’s Big Band, Monty Alexander, Woody Herman's Orchestra, Ella Fitzgerald, the Count Basie Orchestra, Oscar Peterson, the Ray Brown Trio and Diana Krall.

He’s a co-leader of the Clayton-Hamilton Orchestra and has led an internationally-popular trio for many years with 8 CDs. He was ranked #1 in the Modern Drummer magazine Readers’ Poll.
