Led by Jerry Sabatini on trumpet, the septet Sonic Explorers explores many sonorities and styles – soulful, globally inspired, inflected by music of the Balkans, pop, rock, soul and funk. The series host, curator and pianist Brian Friedland picks up Sabatini’s band for his Sextet, celebrating his birthday with an upbeat, celebratory set and jam.
Jazz Sundays at The Square Root brings together Boston’s best jazz artists in an intimate restaurant setting for performances followed by themed jam.
