Joel Zelnik Trio at Closter Public Library

The Closter Historical Society has created a Hall of Fame to honor past and current residents whose accomplishments have far exceeded the borough’s boundaries. The initial group of nearly 40 people, including baseball icon Mickey Mantle, martial arts master Tiger Kim, jazz pianist Bill Evans, climatologist Wallace Broecker, Muppets puppeteer Richard Hunt, and sports illustrator Charlie McGill, was assembled from informal nominations over the course of several months and has the potential to grow in coming years.

The Hall of Fame will be dedicated on Sunday, September 27, 2015, at 2 p.m. at the library, with a concert honoring Closter's Bill Evans, by the Joel Zelnik Trio at 2:45 p.m. in the Community Room....
