John McLaughlin at Wroclaw Guitar Festival at Hala Orbita

The 4th Dimension is one of the most recent projects of John McLaughlin. The band was created as a result of long-standing cooperation of excellent musicians stemming from various cultures, thus the music of The 4th Dimension comprises an inspiring combination of the musical traditions of the West and the East. At first, the project was to be only an experiment prepared for the needs of the festival taking place on the La Réunion Island, but the successes of joint performances convinced the musicians that they should continue their cooperation. Today, The 4th Dimension is composed, beside John McLaughlin, of Gary Husband, Etienne M'Bappé and Ranjit Barot. In April 2010, their first album To The One was released, which is a tribute to John Coltrane and his A Love Supreme album, considered to be one of the most important in the history of jazz. ...

The concert whithin the 15th Wrocław Guitar Festival GITARA 2012 is a part of a tour promoting a new album which is going to be released this fall.
