Kevin Sun Quartet at Saybrook Underbrook

Currently based out of Brooklyn, New York, Sun has previously lived in Boston, having performed at local venues such as Wally’s Jazz Café and the Beat Hotel. He currently performs with Great On Paper (GOP), a quartet with pianist Isaac Wilson, bassist Simón Willson, and NYC-based drummer Robin Baytas, and Earprint, a chordless quartet with trumpeter Tree Palmedo, Willson on bass, and drummer Dor Herskovits. Sun has also performed in New York City (Smalls Jazz Club, ShapeShifter Lab), Paris (Sunside Jazz Club), Panama City (Danilo’s Jazz Club), and Kolkata, India. He has shared the stage with Vijay Iyer, James Moody, Kenny Burrell, Dave Liebman, and Rich Perry, among others, and opened for Brian Blade and the Fellowship Band at the 2015 Panama Jazz Festival.
