Self-proclaimed ambassador of Soul Music in Brussels, Laurent Doumont has been travelling for about 20 years between the worlds of Jazz and Soul and has been since weaving links between them in his own sweet way.
He gathers here the finest of his staff : LD & the Soul Counsellors, with Vincent Bruyninckx (p), Sam Gerstmans (db), Lionel Beuvens (ds), Lorenzo Di Maio (g) and Olivier Bodson (tp).
The major part of the repertoire comes from their 2012 album
« Papa Soul Talkin' », along with some new songs, also old tracks from the band refreshened for today’s mood and some unexpected standards, all joyfully delivered served by these joyful musicians . ...
