What Makes Music Jazz? with Lisa Salvaggio-Clark
Faculty member and Jazz performer Lisa Salvaggio-Clark kicks off a high energy session involving both music and song by asking the audience, “Do you know what Jazz music is?” before leading the group in a fun discovery of the answer. Jazz band instruments will play and then “layer” to form a song, followed by scat singing with an audience call and response and upbeat jazz tunes. Appropriate for all ages but with a special emphasis on kids ages 2-7.
