Every Sunday and Monday, la Rhumerie brings you together for a jazz evening that revives the tradition of St Germain des prés during the fifties, and offers a selection of rums and West Indian cuisine (surcharge + € 1 per order on concert days).Originally from Ireland, Liv Monaghan’s earliest memories come from the living room of her first family home. There was a record player on one side and an old upright piano on the other. Her pre-school years were full of improvised choreographies set to vinyls of Romantic music. Weaving a deeply artistic pattern of different creative experiences together to offer songs that pull threads from Jazz, Soul, Folk, and Romanticism to create an alternative, sometimes experimental and essentially poetic sound. A lover of the left-behind, of old things, of letter-notes, a believer in the half-light ghosts waiting in the ether to get stitched, strung or typed back up together to make something new......

Tous les dimanches et lundis, la Rhumerie vous donne rendez-vous pour une soirée jazz avec Alex Swing Events, renouant ainsi avec la tradition du quartier des années cinquante, et propose une sélection de rhums et de gastronomie antillaise (majoration +1€ par conso les jours de concert).Originaire d'Irlande, les premiers souvenirs de Liv Monaghan remontent au salon de sa première maison familiale. D'un côté, un tourne-disque et de l'autre, un vieux piano droit. Ses années préscolaires étaient rythmées par des chorégraphies improvisées sur des vinyles de musique romantique.Tisser un motif profondément artistique à partir d'expériences créatives variées pour proposer des chansons qui puisent leurs racines dans le jazz, la soul, le folk et le romantisme, créant ainsi un son alternatif, parfois expérimental et essentiellement poétique.Amoureuse des objets délaissés, des vieilleries, des lettres-notes, croyante aux fantômes de la pénombre qui attendent dans l'éther d'être cousus, enfilés ou retapés pour créer quelque chose de nouveau...
