Assuming the voice and manner of various characters – from Cole’s overbearing grandfather, “J.O,” to his “wife of convenience,” Linda Lee Thomas, to the “hostess with the mostest,” Elsa Maxwell, and to Cole himself – Marcia will cover (and uncover) songs from the Porter treasure trove of nearly 1,000 tunes. Expect stellar classics like Night and Day, Begin the Beguine, So in Love, but also less known ditties like The Tale of the Oyster and The Physician.
