Martin McQuade at Schnitzel Haus

Vocalist Martin McQuade assures an evening of nostalgic swing at Schnitzel Haus restaurant on January 12, joined by stride pianist Pete Sokolow. Their show which is entitled Brooklyn Rhapsody is a tribute to the great swing composers and lyricists of yesteryear who were born in Brooklyn, New York.

The evening’s repertoire will include numbers by the creator of Porgy and Bess, George Gershwin, and the bard behind “Lullaby of Broadway,” “Chattanooga Choo Choo” and “At Last,” Harry Warren, in addition to numbers by tunesmiths Jack Lawrence who wrote “All or Nothing at All” and “Tenderly,” Walter Donaldson who penned “My Blue Heaven” and “Yes Sir, That’s My Baby,“ and lyricist Betty Comden, the writer behind “Ohio” and “Just in Time.”...
