Advent of Jazz closes with Marty Ruiz, accompanied by Colin Campbell. Advent of Jazz, a festival offering of our monthly concert series Tuesday Nite Jazz, presents a free concert on each Tuesday following a Sunday in Advent. Concerts take place in the historic sanctuary of St. Paul United Methodist Church, The Soul of the Dallas Arts District and the mother church of black Methodism in North Texas since its founding by recently freed slaves in 1873. Reception with the artists following the show.
