In 1968, Austrian trumpeter directed the Jazz Composer’s Orchestra’s historical album, enjoying
the talents of Carla Bley, Don Cherry, Pharoah Sanders and Cecil Taylor. More than 45 years later,
Mantler discovered the timelessness of the liberating spirit of this recording, in an update of this
project that will be performed exclusively in Jazz em Agosto, by the Orquestra Jazz de Matosinhos.
