Bassist/composer Moppa Elliott and his internationally acclaimed "bebop terrorist band" Mostly Other People Do the Killing (MOPDtK) plus his 1980s rock cover band Unspeakable Garbage perform at 8 p.m on Saturday, February 16 at Jerry's on Front Street in Philadelphia. The concert celebrates Moppa's new triple CD Jazz Band/Rock Band/Dance Band, which which features wildly different music all connected by Elliott's eclectic sensibility.
Joining Elliott in MOPDtK are saxophonist Jon Irabagon, drummer Kevin Shea and pianist Ron Stabinsky; Unspeakable Garbage features Irabagon, Stabinsky, guitarist Nick Millevoi and drummer Dan Monaghan.
