Intense, present, and terrific jazz Virtuoso guitarist Morten Haugshøj has assembled a terrific trio consisting of two sublime musicians from Aalborg (the jazz capital of Northern Jutland) for Aarhus Jazz Festival: award-winning bassist and composer Kenneth Dahl Knudsen and talented drummer Matias Fischer. Both have international experience and have toured Europe with several projects and bands. One can only encourage the audience to keep an eye on the two North Jutland musicians. Kenneth Dahl Knudsen in particular has already left a significant and indisputable mark on Danish jazz, both as a composer and bassist, but also as an arranger and entrepreneur. At the concert, the trio will play original compositions "on the fly" mainly by Haugshøj, though all have contributed original music to the trio. This will be supplemented by a few of the musicians' favorite jazz standards, at which they will tug and tear at to see how far they can push the envelope without it falling apart. Intens, nærværende og forrygende jazz Den virtuose guitarist Morten Haugshøj har til Aarhus Jazz Festival samlet en forrygende trio bestående af to sublime musikere fra den nordjyske jazzhovedstad Aalborg – den prisvindende bassist og komponist Kenneth Dahl Knudsen og den talentfulde trommeslager Matias Fischer, som begge har international erfaring og har turneret Europa rundt med flere projekter og bands. Man kan kun opfordre publikum til at holde øje med de to nordjyske musikere, hvor især Kenneth Dahl Knudsen allerede har sat et markant og indiskutabelt præg på dansk jazz, både som komponist og bassist, men også som arrangør og entreprenør.Til koncerten vil trioen "on the fly" spille originalkompositioner af især Haugshøj, men alle bidrager med originalmusik til trioen.
