In addition to her upbringing on Fanø, she also has roots on the Faroe Islands, where she toured from fjord to fjord in late summer of 2021 and attracted a great interest and attention. She is thus a singer with strong roots in the Nordic countries and strong ties to the natural landscapes, which can be both unbelievably raw but also immensely beautiful. We find a similar balance in Flórez's musical universe between the raw edges of her lyrics and the enchanting tones of the melodies.

Nathalia Flórez er en sangskriver og sangerinde fra den jyske vestkyst, opvokset på Fanø. I 2019 udgav hun sit debutalbum: ”I Aftenens Sidste Minutter”, et personligt tidsbillede der inviterer ind i et nordisk og jordnært lydlandskab. Det anmelderroste album rummer sange inspireret af folkemusikkulturen på barndomsøen, men hendes kompositioner og varme stemme trækker også tydelige tråde til jazzmusikken. Især på hendes seneste udgivelse ”Lille liv” emmer hendes vokal af et jazzet og utroligt inderligt nærvær.

Udover sin opvækst på Fanø, har hun også rødder på Færøerne, hvor hun i sensommeren 2021 turnerede rundt fra fjord til fjord og vakte stor interesse og opmærksomhed. Der er altså tale om en sangerinde med stærke forankringer til Norden og stærke bånd til naturlandskaber, der både kan være ufattelige rå men også umådeligt smukke. En tilsvarende balance finder vi i Flórez’ sangunivers mellem hendes teksters rå kanter og melodiernes fortryllende toner.
